Field Station
Field Station
The Luondua Boreal Field Station is a newly named research hub within the C‑Wild Connect network, dedicated to advancing ecological and interdisciplinary research in the northern boreal forest. Officially named in August 2025, Luondua is part of a broader landscape of long‑term field sites that support studies of wildlife behaviour, forest ecosystems, and human–nature connections.
Located within the boreal region of northern Sweden, the station is embedded in a mosaic of managed forests, lakes, wetlands, and nearby protected areas, offering access to diverse habitats ideal for year‑round research. Luondua is currently expanding its infrastructure and programming, with forthcoming initiatives in sustainable research practices, community engagement, and art–science collaboration.
As part of the C‑Wild network, Luondua contributes to a growing platform for researchers, students, and creative practitioners working to understand and communicate the dynamics of boreal ecosystems.
